About Us

The Ri Bhoi Presbyterian Synod College or the Ri Shoi Synod College is a co­educational institution; it is established to realise the Educational Mission of the Synod. The College is established in 2012 with the sanction and approval of the Ri Bhoi Presbyterian Synod.

Presently, the site of the Institution is located at Umsaitsning, UmsnIng P.S. RI Bhoi District. The College is less than 20 kilometres from Nongpoh, the District Headquarter and less than 30 kilometres from Shillong the Capital city of Meghalaya,

The institution Is envisaged to cater to all minds in need of proper and holistic education. The Institution is still in its early beginning with a bright future ahead. The College shall serve to each one connected with it the respect and dignity each one deserves. It will be the perpetual optimism of the College to grow together with all young minds who come to the College for learning and teaching.

The RI Bhoi Presbyterian Synod, as a Church authority with a congregation of seventy thousand plus faithfuls is putting its whole weight to ensure its unstinted support to the college in all spheres, in order to achieve the goal of providing excellent opportunity for the students who come to study in the college.

It is the eternal conviction of the College to acknowledge that each mind is endowed with a special ability to learn and contribute to society, therefore the College is committed to nurture each talent with equal fervour. Each person connected with the college in terms of service and scholarship will be given a chance to grow with self esteem to confidently face life's multi faceted chal­lenges.

Attainment of knowledge and pressing towards the mark of high prize of Christ-like wisdom, integrity and perfection is the endeavour of the College.
The college also envisages the enrichment of minds through education and shape personalities who would be ready, willing and able to serve the nation and humanity with wisdom, compassion and humility.

The College's educational mission would be to provide an inclusive, compre­hensive, liberal and accessible education for all. It would the College's Mission to ensure a conducive atmosphere for accomplished excellence in teaching and learning. The college will strive to prepare students for a versatile erudi­tion and hone their skills to be useful members of the society.

Admission Requirement and Process

Admission is available for the Bachelor's Degree Arts First Semester (Under no circumstances are students given admission in the Second S emester of the Bachelor's Degree Arts.)

Eligibility Criteria for Admission:

  1. Students who desire to obtain admission into the Undergraduate Arts Course should have passed the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate under the 10+2 System or Senior School Certificate or equivalent examination of a recog­nised Board/University of any Indian State.
  2. Preferably students with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks at the Higher Secondary lever or equivalent will be given admission to study at the college.
  3. If required, the College will conduct entrance/admission test in any or all subjects; admission to the college will be based on the performance in the entrance/admission test and academic result.
Important Instructions

  2. After registration, check your email ID to verify the e-mail id and activate your registration.
  3. Log-in using your email ID and password.
  4. Admission will be given on first-come first-serve on the basis of past academic record and performance.
  5. Please ensure that you enter the correct data in your application form, incomplete form may not be submitted or accepted.
  6. Please ensure that you have with you scan copies of the following documents for uploading (size of the document should not exceed 200kb):
  • Class XII Marksheet.
  • Recent Passport Size photograph (white background).
  • Birth Certificate/Class X Admit Card/ Any other birth proof.
  1. After filling in the application form, candidates have to submit the application form.
  2. Click Submit after you have made the application fee payment.
  3. Candidates will receive a notification in their mobile no or email regarding the successful submission of the application form.
  4. The admission office will verify your documents after which you will receive an email regarding the status of your application.
  5. Candidates who are shortlisted for admission are to pay the admission fees within 2 days (non-refundable).
  6. Methods of payment:
  1. After payment of the fee, a copy of the transaction receipt (Student Name, Mode of payment, UTR no, date of payment, amount and Bank with Branch name) must be send by email to- admission@rbpsynodcollege.in.
  2. Candidates will receive a notification in their mobile no or email regarding the acceptance of their admission. Other details like date of commencement of classes will also be notified to the students by email.
  3. Failing payment, the admission shall stand cancelled and the seat offered to other candidates.
  4. At the time of joining the college, the candidates must produce Xerox copy (self-attested) of the following documents:
  • XII mark-sheet.
  • Proof of date of birth.
  • Caste/Tribe/ Community certificate if applicable
  • Payment receipt.
  • Migration certificate, if applicable (for students coming from outside MBOSE & NEHU).
  • Print out of the Online Anti-ragging Affidavit (to be filled online by the students at http://antiragging.in).
How to Apply

Students can apply either online at the admission portal of the College or alternatively Admission Forms and Prospectus are also available in the College Office on payment.

Admission Criteria (OC-8):

  • Students who have passed plus 2 (10+2) in their respective stream or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board in India or abroad which is considered as equivalent by the University shall be eligible for Admission into the First Semester of Honours and Degree Course.
  • Incomplete application forms and applications received after the last date will be not be entertained.
  • Any student providing incorrect, false or misleading information in the application form shall forfeit his/her admission to the College.

 

Refund and Cancellation Policy
  1. Payment of fees shall be made preferably through online or digital mode. Fees once paid will not be refunded back.
  2. Fees may be paid on full amount at one time payment or on Instalment basis as per the amount mentioned in the prospectus.
  3. In case of withdrawal of admission, fee shall not be refunded and one semester fee must be deposited before the transfer certificate is issued.
